of missing pieces.

I think alot of you people have read this book called "The Missing Piece" by Shel Silverstein. It's a really popular children's book, the story of an eponymous "it" that was missing a piece, and set off in search for it. Through the "baking sun", "over land and over seas", through "swamps and jungles and mountains", "it" led an awe-inspiring journey in his search.

In the end, what was it all for? "It" found out that with the missing piece, it could no longer do all the things that were wonderful to "it" to begin with. It was changed.

Is searching for what's missing really more important than everything that we already have?

You've seen the story of the one that searches. But what about the story of the missing piece then? What about the ones that have been left waiting, for the searchers to come along? I don't think many of you have seen this one.

Maybe, sometimes we're the missing pieces. We're too afraid to change ourselves, and all we're doing to wait till the right person comes along to fit them into our lives.

So should we wait, or should we change?

Well? Are you still waiting for your missing piece?
